Hello, this is Garfield Middle School principal Richard Rigoglioso,
This weekend four Garfield middle school students tested positive for the Covid-19 virus. Following CDC and State guidelines, Garfield Middle School will be fully remote learning for all students until May 3rd... this includes all the GMS autistic and MD classes as well. Rest assures, thru contact tracing, our School district nurses have contacted all necessary families who may have come in contact with those students.
Students who are interested in Spring sports can still register on the school district website. However, the sports will not resume until Garfield Middle School returns on May 3rd for hybrid learning.
All lunches will be served at 3 Saints Church on Outwater Lane for any family who is interested.
The at-risk remote conference is still scheduled for April 19th thru April 22nd from 2 to 3 pm. The at-risk conference is for Students who are in endanger of failing for the year.
