3.19.20 Hello this is Garfield Middle School Principal Richard Rigoloso to all Parents and Guardians

Just a reminder to all middle school students - Please check in with your teacher’s in the morning.  Many teacher's in the middle school use teams or email for communication and are available from 8:30-12:30 daily.   You will have all day to complete the assignments, but you must check in for attendance …So, Please remind your child to check their school email account daily.

If your child has not logged on to their school email account    please have them do the following  Go to the GMS Website ,  Under the "Important Announcements" section on the GMS web page,  watch the video of how to login to your email account. And Check your email daily.

If you or your child needs to communicate with their counselor,  go to the GMS website,  Important Contacts tab,  select Guidance Counseling for additional information.

Thank you and please be safe.

As we reflect on the many things for which we are  thankful, I want to take this opportunity to share just a few of them with you:  We are  thankful for our students who come to school every day ready to learn, they give us all a daily reminder of what is important and why we are here.  We are thankful for the support of the parents in creating an outstanding partnership for our students.  We are thankful for the teachers, assistants, aides, , secretaries, nurses, lunchroom aides, support staff, and administrators who really care about student achievement and have the best interests of our students at heart.

At GMS, we continue see dedicated and tireless individuals going above and beyond to make sure that great things happen in our school. They do make a difference, and the children, in their own individual ways, benefit from those efforts.

Most importantly, we are thankful for the parents that have kept the faith in us.  They continue to share their most valuable possession with us and—in most cases— work hard and advocate to be a partner in their children’s education, safety and well-being. For this, we are ever so thankful.

I would like to wish all of you and your families a happy, healthy and relaxing Thanksgiving holiday!
