GUIDANCE-COUNSELING DEPARTMENT
Welcome to the Garfield Middle School Guidance-Counseling Department. The mission of the Garfield Middle School counseling program is to encourage students to be responsible and productive members of society by providing an environment that fosters the social, emotional and academic development of all students. We are always here to help, guide and most importantly support you and your child's social/emotional and educational success at GMS. The counselors provide services that aid students in solving problems and making adjustments to various situations. The School Counselors stay with the same students for the three years that they are in the GMS. We also have a SAC/Wellness Counselor in the Middle School as well that services all three grade levels.
