Blue Star Kids

The Blue Star Kids is a club for students with an immediate family member on active duty in any brach of the U.S. military. This includes mom, dad, brother, sister and step parents or siblings. At GMS we understand that the entire family sacrifices when a member is in service. We want to support our military families and build a community for students to serve as a support system. We meet for breakfast a few times a year, and work with the Garfield VFW on community service projects. We try to incorporate at least one trip during the year. Past trips included: The Intrepid, 9/11 Museum, Grammy Awards Museum, Revolutionary War Museum, Statue of Liberty, Joint Base Mc Guire-Dix.
