June 6th is a One Session Day!

To 8th-grade parents,

Your child's Middle School graduation will be here before you realize it. We want to inform you about the upcoming 8th Grade Graduation Ceremony, which will be held on TuesdayJune 20, 2023, at 6:00 PM in the Garfield Middle School gymnasium. Students should arrive at the school around 4:45-5 PM. We encourage parents to stay after dropping off their child, as parking and seating will become challenging to find.

This ceremony is an essential milestone in your child's academic journey, and we look forward to celebrating their achievements with you. However, to ensure the safety and comfort of all attendees, we must adhere to the maximum capacity regulations set for our gymnasium. As a result, we regretfully inform you that we can only provide 2 tickets per student for the ceremony. These tickets will grant entry to two individuals accompanying each student. We understand that this limitation may cause some inconvenience for larger families or close relatives who wish to attend.

We assure you that we make every effort to accommodate as many guests as possible within the constraints. However, if you require additional tickets or have any special circumstances that need to be considered, please get in touch with the school administration as soon as possible. We will do our best to assist you and address your concerns on a case-by-case basis, although we cannot guarantee extra tickets due to capacity limitations.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in ensuring a safe and enjoyable event for everyone involved. The 8th Grade Closing Ceremony is a significant occasion, and we encourage you to support your child's classmates as they celebrate this milestone together. Again, thank you for your ongoing support, and we look forward to commemorating this special moment with you and your child.

Warm regards,

Garfield Middle School Principal
