Parent Reminders

ATTENTION PARENTS: Parents please remind your child that if they are removed from a substitute class for inappropriate behavior or any misconduct it may result in that child’s placement on the excluded list for the remainder of the school year. 

Parent Portal - Staying in the Know! Communication is key to your child's success at GMS. Check Parent Portal daily for new updates and school-wide announcements. All ongoing announcements will be updated live in Parent Portal.

Uniforms - Dress for Success! The GMS Uniform Policy is strictly imposed. Please make sure that your child has the appropriate khaki pants along with the correct grade-level uniform shirt. 

Contact Numbers - Keep Connected! Please remember to update your contact information if your cell phone or home phone number has changed with the GMS Main Office.  Your child's safety is imperative to us.

Student Cell Phone Usage Reminder - Garfield Middle School is not responsible for lost or broken cell phones.

Lunch Money Payments - Online Access! Please make sure your child's lunch payments are up to date.  If you would like to make an online payment for your convenience we offer online billing at www.payschoolscentral.com 

Parking Lot - Staff Only! As a friendly reminder, ALL parking lot spaces are for staff only.  Please kindly refrain from parking in the GMS lot.

Security - Safety First! When attending a meeting or picking up your child please call the main office ahead of time so that we can inform our Security Department of your arrival.
